Overview
Welcome to Bowling Green Brandywine Adult program. By embracing the values of integrity,
compassion and clinical excellence we will help you find a better
way to live.
Bowling Green Brandywine offers a full continuum of
addiction treatment services.
From detoxification to inpatient rehabilitation to partial hospitalization or IOP,
clients can be efficiently transferred from one level of care to the next appropriate
level. Admissions, discharges and length-of-stay are determined by either ASAM or
PCPC (Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria) criteria.
Detoxification
Detoxification, for many people, may be the first step on the road
to recovery. Our medically supervised detox program allows the time
needed for reducing withdrawal symptoms.
The initial phase of treatment generally begins with detoxification. Our
medically monitored non-hospital detox specializes in opiate withdrawal.
A variety of pharmacological interventions including methadone are utilized
to help mitigate withdrawal symptoms. Also, all clients undergo a thorough
assessment, and evaluation (medical & psychological) during this phase of
treatment. A Board Certified Physician supervises this highly specialized medical
team which includes a Psychiatrist, RNs, LPNs , Physicians Assistant and
ancillary staff.
Residential Treatment
Imagine finding the skills you need to change your life. The concepts
of recovery are simple yet not often easy to incorporate into your
life without the guidance, education and support that a residential
program offers.
Residential Treatment consists of short (up to 28 days), moderate (up to 90 days)
and long-term treatment (6-12 months). Our highly structured program includes:
group, individual counseling, specialty groups, lectures, medication management,
introduction to the 12-steps, daily attendance at AA or NA meeting and family
program. In addition each patient receives a treatment plan geared to individual
clinical needs and relapse prevention. Patients are transferred to the next level
of care as soon as they complete the residential treatment phase.
Partial Program (Outpatient Services)
BGB offers a step-down program or less intensive level of care known as partial
hospitalization Clients can maintain employment while benefiting from a highly
structured program.
Our partial hospitalization meets five days a week (usually from 9am-3pm) at the
Brandywine campus. Clients receive group, individual counseling, lectures, relapse
prevention, medication management and 12-step education. Individuals also have access
to our psychiatrist.
Family Program
Addiction impacts the entire family. Involvement in the Family Program
is crucial in understanding the recovery process; how addiction
has affected your family relationships and supports sustained recovery.
BGB offers a family program to immediate family members. Family members
learn about the disease of addiction, their role in the role in the recovery
process and introduction to 12-step family programs like Alanon. Individual
family sessions are available through the patient's counselor.
