Yasenta Newman, Ph.D.
Director of Clinical Services
As the Director of Clinical Services at Bowling Green Brandywine, Yasenta oversees and leads the clinical team with implementing evidence-based practices to improve quality of services to the individuals we serve. Yasenta has over 17 years in the field of substance misuse and mental health and foster a strong therapeutic alliance in utilizing person-centered, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and motivational interviewing techniques. She is dedicated to implementing program structure to support individuals with both substance misuse and mental health disorders. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient treatment settings and has been passionate about social issues in the field of addiction and mental health. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, masters in counseling psychology, and a doctorate in psychology with a specialization in addiction psychology.
